The story

01What it is

Study guides for Maastricht University courses, built from each course’s lectures, labs and past exams. Each guide has lessons, questions, checkpoints, exam simulations, a glossary, a game mode and a tutor. The installed app works offline, with practice, flashcards and audio for every course.

There is a leaderboard and a forum, and a separate set of paper explainers: interactive, scroll-driven walkthroughs of papers, lectures and code.

02Fast because it is static

Every page is built ahead of time. Guide pages don’t even load the framework; they load a small guide engine instead. Accounts, progress sync, the tutor and the social layer are the only parts that hit the server.

03Merged with Study

In October 2026 Papers took over Wicker Study’s course collection, search and MCP server. It reads Study’s course data through a read-only database role, so students can bring their work across.
