Cue

A video editor your AI agent can drive.

Free and open source for macOS, with Windows and Linux in preview. Edit by hand with Premiere-style shortcuts, or let Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client work on the same project through more than 110 tools.

The editor runs on your own computer. The server only hosts its website.

01What it is

An open-source video editor (MIT) for macOS, with Windows and Linux in preview. It has the editing you’d expect from Premiere or Resolve: a multi-track timeline, three-point editing, J/K/L shuttle, keyframes, colour grading, masks and titles.

The difference is that an AI agent can edit the same project with you. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or any MCP client gets more than 110 tools, and every change it makes is visible, attributed and undoable.

02Editing speech like text

Transcription runs on your own Mac. Delete words in the transcript and they are cut from every track; filler words go in one click.

03What the server does

Only the website: downloads, documentation and a style library. The editor itself never talks to my server.
